Trannies in Trouble to Sponsor Transgender Erotica Awards

BURBANK, Calif. — First-time sponsor Trannies in Trouble has announced its support of the 7th Annual Transgender Erotica Awards.

“I’m really excited to help sponsor this year’s TEA Show,” said owner Sandra Gibbons. “I’ve been aware of the show for a few years but for some crazy reason I thought my website was maybe in a different niche and wouldn’t really fit in, so I was thrilled when Kristel from Grooby.com welcomed me.”

“The Avalon should be an exciting venue and I’m looking forward to a fun night, hanging out with friends and meeting new ones,” Gibbons adds. “The trans community is so varied and unique and it’s great to see an event like this that supports and highlights the accomplishments of so many talented performers and creative people.”

Trannies in Trouble was created back in 2001 when Gibbons started taking pictures of herself being tied up. As a fetishistic crossdresser, she has always had a thing for damsels in distress, which she traces back to her days watching detective shows on TV. Her site has built a loyal community of fans and features crossdressing bondage scenes with Gibbons and her trans friends.

“I’m delighted to have Trannies in Trouble on board with our show,” says Grooby’s Editorial Director Kristel Penn. “I really admire Sandra’s dedication to her website and how she’s built it from the ground up. That type of tenacity and self-starting behavior is something to be admired in our industry and we’re lucky to have her as a supporter.”

The 7th Annual Transgender Erotica Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at the Avalon in Hollywood. The official after party will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, at the Avalon’s connecting property, the Bardot. Pre-sale tickets and sponsorship information is available at TheTEAShow.com.
